In recognition of the challenging times we have weathered together over the last year, and the unprecedented impact volunteers have had in our local Falkirk communities, for this year’s Volunteer’s Week we’ve decided to do something extra special!

CVS Falkirk would like to celebrate the wonderful volunteers and community members, who do so much for Falkirk, with a brand new digital Volunteer Awards Ceremony for 2021, during Volunteers’ Week (Tuesday 1st June – Monday 7th June). Volunteers’ Week highlights the variety of volunteering throughout Scotland, celebrating the time and effort given by the unsung heroes who give back to their communities – not for their own benefit, but for other people, and especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Volunteer Awards Ceremony
With this in mind, we’d like to invite local people, organisations and groups to nominate the volunteers they think deserve recognition for their exceptional efforts. The winner for each category will be chosen by an independent panel and will receive a surprise gift to enjoy, with prizes donated by local businesses including Mango and Sanam.
The Award categories are:
- Volunteer of the Year
- Young Volunteer of the Year
- COVID Volunteer Award
- Innovative Volunteer Award
The deadline for nominations to the awards is 11:59pm on Sunday 9th May.
If you’d like to nominate one of your volunteers, or if someone in your community deserves special thanks for their volunteering efforts, or for helping out during COVID-19 and you’d like to say thank you – please NOMINATE SOMEONE FOR THE VOLUNTEER AWARDS 2021 BY CLICKING THIS LINK.
Celebrating Volunteering Certificates
Local groups and organisations can now request our Celebrating Volunteering Certificates for their volunteers. The certificates will be professionally printed, and delivered by the CVS Falkirk team (safely and within all current restrictions) in the week leading up to Volunteers’ Week.
All certificate requests must be received by 11:59pm on Sunday 9th May, via the online form below.

Volunteers’ Week is truly the highlight of our year: recognising and celebrating volunteering within our communities, the individuals, groups and organisations who continue to make a real difference every day to people like you and me. We have been overwhelmed with the kindness, compassion, responsiveness of volunteers throughout the Falkirk and District area.
So on behalf of CVS Falkirk and Volunteer Falkirk, our partners, and all of our local communities, thank you so much to every volunteer for all the volunteering hours and activities that you dedicate to supporting others. You are all truly amazing!
