Camelon kids got a special Easter surprise this year, thanks to a creative and dedicated local volunteer. Craig, who volunteers for The Conservation Volunteers (TCV), is pictured in his Easter Bunny outfit on this year’s “Easter Dash”, delivering treats to families in the Camelon area. TCV Project Worker, Carolyn, told us:
“I don’t have to tell you how amazing a volunteer Craig is for TCV, just ask the Camelon community. A true community hero! He has been delivering emergency food parcels, Easter eggs and school lunches. The lunch run is his favourite as he gets to see some of the kids from the Nature Club we run in Camelon. Keeping some continuity for the kids is very important during this unprecedented time. A visit from Craig is the highlight of their day.”

When COVID-19 hit our communities, Craig quickly adapted his volunteering from supporting local TCV groups and activities, to getting essential supplies to people in need. TCV are working in partnership with other local organisations to respond to the impact of COVID-19 in Falkirk. Craig is pictured using a bike with space for carrying food items, which was kindly supplied by Falkirk Active Travel Hub.
