Volunteers’ Week 2023: Sign Up for the Saltire Awards!

Saltire logo 300x205Young people in Falkirk have shown an incredible commitment to volunteering in the past few years and beyond. Their contribution to local causes, youth groups, fundraising, and more has made their local communities very proud.

But did you know that if you are aged 12-25 years old, you can earn certificates for the time you have put towards volunteering?

The Saltire Awards are a progressive set of certificates for young volunteers in Scotland. You can earn certificates after 10 hours, 25 hours, 50 hours, 100 hours, 200 hours, and 500 hours of volunteering, as well as Challenge certificates for group volunteering activities. These certificates are generated digitally, meaning you will always have an online copy, but can print it off if you choose.

The certificates are a fantastic addition when applying to university or college, as well as your CV or future job applications. It’s also just nice to be appreciated too!

There’s no better time than Volunteers’ Week to sign up to the Saltire Awards website and begin claiming your certificates.

You can also head to the Volunteer Falkirk website and follow our walkthrough on how to sign up and claim.
