Thank You from CVS Falkirk

Posted on December 17, 2020

A message from our CEO, Victoria McRae:

“As we reach the end of 2020, many of us reflect on the months gone by and we at CVS Falkirk have done the same. I don’t think any of us could have envisioned the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic would have on us.

We know that for many people it has been a time of illness, sadness and loss within families. People facing financial hardship through unemployment, redundancy and furlough. Loneliness and isolation because of shielding and restrictions.

However, the communities of Falkirk – from Banknock to Bo’ness, Stenhousemuir to Slammanan – came forward to response to pandemic and provide much needed and dignified support to individuals and families who needed it the most. Neighbours helping neighbours, groups providing emergency food and medication provision, services providing support and counselling, staff running COVID-19 specific activities, volunteers making kindness calls, young and old helping out, local businesses providing hot meals, so many roles undertaken.

Therefore, on behalf of the team at CVS Falkirk we would like to thank you all for your dedication, commitment, hard work and most of all your compassion and kindness. You should all be very proud of your roles and accomplishments: you truly have made a difference to the people and families in your communities.

We send you our warmest wishes over the coming weeks and look forward to connecting with you again in 2021.”
